NETWORKING, MUSIC, FOOD, FUN!

August 22, 2024 – The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce supports a Business After Hours event hosted by a different local business each month. The goal of Business After Hours is to offer professionals the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of each host’s services, which becomes a valuable grassroots experience that generates awareness and fosters strong community relationships.

SkillSource hosted the Business After Hours event on August 22nd at the Wenatchee center located at 240 North Mission. It was a beautiful, blue-sky evening with nearly 100 people in attendance for the two-hour event, including elected officials and professionals across industries from healthcare, education, technology, the arts, and more.

SHARED VALUES, SHARING VALUE

SkillSource team members led guests on informative tours to deepen understanding of the offered services that support career seekers and businesses in the Wenatchee Valley and throughout North Central Washington.

Attendees toured the Learning Center, where youth gain valuable work readiness skills, achieve educational goals, and prepare to enter the workforce on meaningful career paths. Guests gained insight on how adult career seekers are impacted by working with SkillSource trainers to discover their interests, strengths, and skill gaps, and how those gaps are addressed through training and support services. The SkillSource executive offices are located in Wenatchee, and guests learned from CEO Lisa Romine how these efforts support and strengthen individual lives, and communities throughout the region.
