Johnny’s Quality Lawn Service is a family-owned and operated business that’s been serving the Wenatchee community for over 20 years. The owners named the business after their son, Johnny, who was just six years old at the time (and who’s depicted in their logo).
But their business was limited. Owner, Jose Guzman, couldn’t serve many clients due to the size of their lawns and his lack of appropriate equipment. Thanks to a community reinvestment initiative and a small business grant through the Washington State Department of Commerce, Jose purchased a new Walker riding mower from Burrow’s Tractor, another local business. With this new mega-mower Jose is reducing the time spent on large properties, leading to increased productivity, and the ability to accept more clients. He and his wife, Maria, believe that with the increase in productivity, they can not only expand capacity, but will help them bring on an employee in the future.
