FULL CUPS FILL UP OTHERS

Popping Pearls Boba began in 2021 at the Moses Lake farmer’s market. The owner, Marilyn Zepeda, worked in the medical field prior to the pandemic, and was ready for a change. Her daughter, Roxy, who was 13 at the time, encouraged her mom to open a new shop that would bring boba drinks to Moses Lake. Their first market was a huge hit and they sold out! After two years at the farmer’s market, they had raised enough to open a storefront, the very first boba shop in Grant County.

Popping Pearls has expanded to included paninis and rolled ice cream. And thanks to a small business investment grant through the Washington State Department of Commerce, Popping Pearls enhanced their brand and increased capacity with new custom cups, an outdoor seating area, and a new mobile truck to take their treats on the road! “Popping Pearls is no longer the only boba shop in Grant County,” shared Marilyn. “These investments will help us stay competitive, serve more customers, and hopefully grow!”

Follow Popping Pearls Boba Shop on Instagram or Facebook. They’re located at 520 W 3rd Street, Moses Lake, WA. They offer options that are free from sugar, gluten, dye, and dairy. And if you need a little warm up on a cold winter’s day, try a cup of freshly made soup!
