BOOSTING BUSINESS BY THE FORKLIFT

Investing in your workforce pays dividends. Irrigation Technology & Control in East Wenatchee experienced a swift and efficient upgrade through Incumbent Worker Training (IWT). Their team of 12 irrigation technicians achieved forklift certification, ensuring compliance and enhancing operational efficiency.

The IWT was facilitated through SkillSource with Community Reinvestment Plan (CRP) funds, and the training was provided by Mid Columbia Forklift, led by Hilario Lopez.

By providing access to certified training, SkillSource empowers local businesses to upskill their existing workforce, directly contributing to their bottom line. As employees remarked, the training was “efficient and useful,” and all appreciated the organized approach, and expressed thanks that their employer provided them the opportunity.

For Irrigation Technology & Control, the training translates to a safer, more skilled team, reducing potential risks and enhancing productivity. This is the return on investment from initiatives like CRP, a testament to how regional workforce boards like SkillSource strengthen our workforce and community. By connecting businesses with vital training resources, we lift up lives throughout North Central Washington.
