YOUTH PROGRAMMING

We offer different programs depending on your age, school status, and goals. You don’t need to know the names or acronyms, we’ll guide you to the one that fits. Here’s a quick look:

Open Doors Youth Reengagement (ages 16 – 21)

Open Doors helps students who’ve fallen behind in school or left before graduating. You can work toward a high school diploma or prepare for the GED, with flexible classes and support from caring staff.

Open Doors is offered in partnership with your local school district. Students under age 16 may be served through the school district’s Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) program until they qualify for Open Doors.

Career Training & Support (Ages 16–24)

We help youth explore careers, gain work experience, and build skills for the future. You can get paid internships, career coaching, and support with job training or further education. Develop real-world skills that employers want through project-based learning, worksite visits, and more. You’ll build confidence, experience, and a resume you’ll be proud of.

This program is offered through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Ages 14–21)

If you’re in school and have an IEP, 504 Plan, or documented disability, Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) can help you get ready for life after high school. That includes job exploration, work-readiness skills, and support in building confidence and independence.

Pre-ETS Services were developed in partnership with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR).
